RaMa: A Powerful Meditation Healing Sound Essence
In numerous Kind Karma Worldwide® Meditation practices, “RaMa” acts as an essential Sound Essence during meditations aimed at specific purposes, including healing. This sacred sound can be chanted aloud, softly whispered, or silently intoned in your mind throughout the kriya. The Balance of Solar (Sun) and Lunar (Moon) Energies
Ra represents the flow of solar energy (right side/energizing), whereas Ma symbolizes the current of lunar energy (left side/receptive/cooling). Together, they create a harmonious equilibrium between these two energy forces. These energies are deeply integrated within our bodies. As noted by yoga scholars, this interwoven motion activates our chakras. By chanting this mantra, we can harmonize these energies and align our chakras effectively.
How to Practice the RaMa Kriya Meditation
1. Preparation
Posture: Sit comfortably in a relaxed position, ensuring your spine is straight and upright. You can choose to be in Easy Pose (or Sukhasana) or seated upright in a chair. Take several deep breaths to soothe your mind and relax your body.
Mudra (Hand Position): Rest your hands in Gyan Mudra (created by bringing the tip of the index finger to touch the tip of the thumb, forming a circle with gentle pressure, while the remaining three fingers stay extended and relaxed.
Drishti (Eye Focus): Gently close your eyes and direct your attention to the Third Eye or brow point.

2) The Chant Structure: RaMa is pronounced as Rah-Mah. The chant goes: "RAA-MAA"
Maintain clarity in the syllables: RAA-MAA.
Pace: Recite the chant slowly and rhythmically, aiming for a duration of approximately 4 seconds for each complete iteration.
Focus: Ensure that the sound originates–vibrates from the belly (navel center) instead of the throat.
Goal: The objective is to experience the vibrations both within yourself and in your surroundings.
3) Mental Focus
Center your attention on the RAMA sound, maintaining a focused and present mindset throughout the chanting process.

4) RaMa Kriya Meditation Practice Guidelines
Duration: RaMa Kriya Meditation is generally practiced for 3 to 5 minutes, but you can extend it up to 11 minutes. For optimal results, aim to practice daily.
Breathwork: Start by taking a deep breath in, and as you exhale, chant the mantra “Raa-Maa.” You can also break the sound into a steady, rhythmic pattern of four seconds to promote smoother breathing. Continue this practice for as long as you wish.
Closing: Once you've finished, take a deep breath in, hold it for 5 to 10 seconds, and then exhale fully. Take a moment to sit in silence and absorb the energy vibrations.
Be sure to spend a few moments in quiet reflection, considering how this kriya meditation has impacted your body, mind, and emotions.
Journaling your experiences can be exceptionally helpful.
